I was about go all whatthefokdoesthathavetodowithanything on ya, but then I googled "NYPD starting pay" and I found 35k and that is truly revolting.

Listen, if you want to say, "I love guns. Guns are really important to me. Indeed, I would not trade my right to defend myself for anything. The lax state of gun laws in the States obviously leads directly to a lot of unnecessary death and injury but guns are so important that it's worth it." - then that's fine. I mean, it's not fine - it's stupid - but there are no particular logic glitches. It is not dishonest. It's very clear you don't know what you're talking about. You need an exceptionally clear record to carry let alone buy a weapon in the United States. There are penalties for the illegal transfer of firearms. Not my problem, the courts don't enforce the laws, already on the books. Prove this statement to me, you can't.

But if you want to start making arguments about how the USA's lax gun laws aren't related to the astronomically high rates of gun activity compared to the rest of the developed world - then you are on tilt. No, you would just be comparing two populations which do not match up culturally, racially, or economically....sounds like good science. You are pathologically arranging flawed arguments to get to the conclusion you want to reach. You have gone goofy in the head. Yes, the US is soo pathological that everyone comes to us when they have a problem.


And yeah, if you are thinking that more guns in the hands of average Americans would somehow bring dangerous situations more under control, you are 13. You have little clue what goes on American streets, I go where I want, when I want....if you want to infringe on my right have at it. The Supreme Court has ruled that LEO's have no obligation to protect me. Cops don't protect, they respond. It's easy to take jabs at someone when carrying a weapon is intrinsic to the job description. I'm an ordinary guy and don't have that luxury. Like they say, when seconds count police can be there in minutes.

Obviously we need it restricted. Any whackjob can get one. Nothing makes me prouder than to know bi-polars can get guns.
 
Bad guys (people who rob/steal/go on killing sprees etc) will get guns regardless of the laws that are in place.

We have very strict laws in place for cocaine. Cocaine is everywhere.

Most violent crime in America is inner city black on black crime.

It makes America "appear" more gun violent than it is.
