I don't know if this is same mindset as Muddy, but I am just completely desensitized to this sort of thing. Even though I started the thread, I was unaffected by what was going on....and not because it was not the U.S.
After "going thru" the Oklahoma City bombings and 9-11, as well as being in Denver during Columbine, and less than a mile from the Aurora theater shooting where 12 were killed and 70 injured, it's pretty darn hard to get worked up about anything anymore. Even the Boston Marathon bombing didn't phase me. It's sad. I will still say "That's messed up.," but it's hard to get too worked up about anything anymore. The world is a messed up place. I was surprised they cancelled the hockey game.
I remember being at an NBA game the night of the OK City bombings...they did a little tribute thing, but business as usual. Many Americans...or at least me....and some Canadian men on the street...and maybe Muddy...we are desensitized.
What I really want to know is where they are spreading the candy corn around. Iag loves her some candy corn.
