I have a seriously bad attitude. I am home now for the long weekend - and I am contemplating what I would like to accomplish - and my thought process starts: okay tomorrow is a write-off.

That would be Xmas day. Just completely devoid of any value in my mind.

Like if someone wanted to challenge me on that I'm sure I would give in and come up with a few reasons why it is wonderful - but left to my own devices? ----> big fokken impediment to my long weekend.

I just realized that all the Xmas cards I have to hold cash or gift cards make mention of Christmas.

Which is actually not appropriate for my Jehovah's Witness superintendents.

Oh well. I sure ain't running out now to get a special fucking card.

Decent weather anyway. It's wet but it's above freezing so there should be no particular issues with the hours of driving that lay ahead.

Not that I'm bitter about that.

Don't feel bad Muddy, I detest Christmas as well. I am just glad it is over. I refused to make the drive to the Ottawa Valley this year as it is normally nothing but a big hassle for me. We will go later on this weekend and spend the new year in the country.

I am all for Christmas if there are kids involved. My family is all adults and we have stopped buying gifts for each other because we are all adults and can buy anything we want to for ourselves. I have made the tortuous drive too many times now on holidays and I never want to attempt the 401 East on a Holiday Anything. If my family doesn't like it, they can drive to Toronto for Christmas and see how they like that.

Xmas is both my least favorite and most favorite day of the year. Least favorite just because of my general bad attitude - but most favorite because at the end of the day when I finally get home from driving around, it is the longest possible time until more Xmas.
