It's a myth that it supposedly increases your metabolism since upon eating, your metabolism increases to digest food. However, if you eat the same amount of calories throughout a day, it doesn't matter when you eat them. Your metabolism increases proportionately with the size of your meal. It's a non-factor.

Most weight lifters eat high protein diets and overeat to bulk up. Or shoot themselves in the ass with a needle.

I consume about 2600 calories per day and burn approximately 3200 calories per day since I started exercising about 9 months ago.
