Many of my above names were athletes turned into qb's in college.... some weren't good enough qb's in the pros to make it at that position. others were....

some were such great college qb's and great athletes, they got drafted in other sports to play in the pros.. Charlie Ward did go pro in hoops, Elway played some minor league baseball I think.

Cam is just the latest of many of the great athletic QB's that can shred college defenses. Ala Vince Young, but prob won't make it in the NFL

Elway was one of the greatest scramblers of all time, early in his career. but i'm pointing also to the fact that he was a 2nd round draft pick in baseball, by the yanks. and had a pretty successful minor league baseball career. Bet Cam Newton can't hit curveball
