Seriously, today ends what may have been the most memorable decade in history, certainly in our lifetime.
On the sporting side of things look at what we have witnessed.
The amazing comeback of the Red Socks over the Yankees.
The Red Socks winning the World Series.
Vince Young's performance in the National Title game, maybe one of the best individual performances of all time on that scale.
Florida Gators back to back NCAA Basketball Titles.
Lady Huskies 90 straight wins.
Lance Armstrong's DOMINANCE in the Tour de' France (albeit probably enhanced) after cancer.
Boise St's shocking victory over Oklahoma that set off all the BCS debates.
On a more real and world view look at all we have witnessed.
Hurricane Katrina
The Tsunami
The earthquake in Haiti
9/11
The United States electing a black president
Terrorism raised to unprecedented levels both domestic and foreign
These are but a few of the things just off the top of my head, there are plenty more. Can you ever remember a time in history where a decade saw so many events that changed, amazed or shocked us?
If the trend is to always go bigger, what can we possibly endure in the decade to come? Will there even be a decade to come or will it all end as the Mayan's predicted?
