It wasn't a dumb play, he just got caught. By running inside the line, it forces the catcher/ pitcher to throw around him.

It Can, it has. its not a lock or garuantee, but it can be done. and alot of $ increases the team's chances.


a few examples of small salary teams winning and large salary teams losing doesn't change the fact that it increases your chances alot to have big stars on your team

The Marlin minor league system has been declining for a few years now, that used to be their strength. They have Josh Johnson and Mark Burhrle on the trade block. Marlins payroll will be back to the $40-50 mil level.
