Left with an injury today.

Hopefully not a serious one and seemed real pissed bout not getting couple strike calls before the grand slam! Almost 100 in St Louie today and down 4-0 give him a day off! Buy the way Wainwright had a tight strike zone the next inning too so the no advantage either way! Seems to be Roy's time of the month but the guy is a gamer and will be fine! Luy this guy like Fiver does!

Saw one he got squeezed on. Weather was brutal in St Louis.

congrats to the Orioles and Adam Jones on their contract getting done!

Random fact, after 47 games the Pittsburgh Pirates have a combined OPS of .610

in 12 years and 675 career official ab's Carlos Zambrano has a career OPS of .636

today the Pirates had their first 3 run HR of the year.... thank you Pedro Alvarez!

Marlins catcher, John Buck, has a .186 BABIP this year.

There's only been 10 seasons in MLB history with a BABIP under .200 and at least 200 PA.

.198 - Tony Pena 1993 (.181 avg)
.199 - Lena Blackburne 1910 (.174), Ralph Young 1918 (.188), Bert Adams 1918 (.176), Benny Zientara 1948 (.187), Tommy Brown 1951 (.213), Dick Billings 1973 (.179), Nate Colbert 1975 (.156), Mike Stenhouse 1984 (.183), Scott Servais 1994 (.195), Willie Harris 2010 (.183)

Nate Colbert made that list, hard to believe.

Colbert's best day in the majors was August 1, 1972, when he slammed 5 home runs - one of two players to have done so - and drove in 13 runs in a doubleheader, breaking Stan Musial's record of 11 runs batted in. Coincidentally, a young Nate had attended the game where Stan originally set the record. This helped the Padres sweep the Atlanta Braves, 9-0 and 11-7

I remember reading about Musial's day as a boy in his biography, I'm pretty sure he missed 2-3 other HR's that day by just a few feet.
