I think that was the attraction here pavvy.

Sports talk is fine but I can only take so much and then it becomes boring. I hit that point a while ago.

I like to shoot the shit and laugh with the boys (and girls) and try to outcreep myself. It's all about having fun, and for me sports talk is not fun, it's boring. Just like watching horse racing without betting on it..... boooooring.

That's fine. Was just pointing out the reasons Gamelive is not growing but contracting.

No, that's all stuff in your head. No one is doing any of that or wondering any of that. None of that resembles anything that's going on.

I would expect a visitor from Mars to come up with a more on-the-money observation of the situation.

SP basically died because of ownership problems. Sorry if the posters who came over bother anyone. They are all solid, all gamble, and people i consider friends.

That's fantastic. Good to have friends with common interests.

So why gamelive? Seems like a sports/gambling forum would be a better fit. Maybe one that's not full of horrible people and threads like this don't keep happening.

The beauty of a forum is there are many interests and we are not required to post in every thread. Maybe you should direct the question to Ray - he's the one who told me about the site. I joined because there were some good hockey people on here and not because of condensending threads worrying about the glory days of GL. THe glory days of GL were full of mundane threads also - but thats OK because it was you guys starting them. It was also full of posts about SBR - what about those glory days?

I sense a pattern MC. Things change, yet you dont. I remember some of my college days fondly, but those days are long gone. Perhaps you can bump threads and reminise or you can make some quality threads also. Also realize that any problems with GL has nothing to do with SP people coming over here.
 
FW it's incredibly odd to see you become so vocal at this stage.

You were always a low-profile, bland, sort of shapeless poster. I guess you tended to get lost in the mix when this place had more people.

Your definition of "solid" just does not fit with what a number of us consider solid.

Oh and you pretty much killed this place when you decided to take it out of your pants for IAG. Think about it.

The only person I see worrying about glory days is plommer who keeps hiccupping something about how he needs to leave the past behind and trying to convince himself that he has. Just kinda babbling away. I would not be amazed to learn he has had a stroke.

You guys need to focus on the present FW. We can all have less stuff that sucks RIGHT NOW.

Leafs talk with other crazy hockey fans or just hockey talk is not boring. At least it shouldn't be.

Is it more boring than wondering what happened to the good old days of GL for the last six weeks? Forums evolve, posters evolve. Shit happens, Doesn't mean I'm going to post all day wondering why the world changed while I'm doing nothing about it.

It's basically slow season. There are very few die hard hockey followers here. Same with NBA. MLB basically sucks so things will pick up in August/Sept. Most if not all forums dies down at this time of the year.
