Yeah the copyright laws in Canada are the same kind of casual deal. Canada is part of the Berne and Universal Copyright Conventions which oversees an international state of surprisingly laid-back cooperation.

Some kind of proof of creation is cool. We used to mail stuff to ourselves back in the 90's. Seems like that's still relevant.

I'll probably go ahead and formally register my stuff but I don't feel any great panic about it after reading what I read.

Based on previous discussions, I would wager Bread is talking about The Day Would Come. It is significantly different in its current form than the YouTube outline. It would sound weird to someone who has listened to the YouTube a few times and is actually used to it like that (which is a group that probably consists only of Bread.) (Which I really appreciate and I kind of hate to jar things - but I have in that case. Artistic vision and whatnot. :dunno: Hopefully the new version can be gotten used to.)

Other songs that have sketches on YouTube - I think there are about 5?? - are now more textured and polished no doubt - but more recognizable. I think.

Not that a ton of people have listened to that YouTube stuff enough to get to set in their expectations. Me personally, I would say don't bother with the YouTube at this point. If anyone is interested - and I am very flattered if they are - just wait for the finished deal.

My suggestion anyway.
