I don't know what to do about these cover CD sleeves. You print them on the label which is designed for the chore, and you stick them in there where they are supposed to go ---> it's not terrible, but it's just kind of a loosy goosey result.

Like the back label is totally wedged in place under the thing, but the front one can slide out pretty easily. I see a lot of professional CD's have an actual little booklet that goes in there. That is a more snug fit. I don't have that.

Don't know if I should employ some tape. Or maybe it just is what it is.

Meanwhile a form of paralysis sets in for me as the prospect of setting these songs free into the world shifts from abstract theoretical notion to reality.

I'm just glad you are back to working on it. You were also working on it some when I first joined. I think it makes for a kinder gentler Mudcat.

:clueless: I'm not trying to be argumentative but I think you're seeing connections that aren't there. I never stopped working on it during that timeframe.

Whoa. Calm down, Muddy.

Okay well I'm a little rattled right now and I am just going to move along.

Thank you to volunteer guinea pigs very much. I feel well supported as I prepare to work methodically through this phase. Hopefully you do not end up regretting putting up your hand.

Well you had stopped talking about it. Maybe talking about it makes you happy. Or maybe it's House's positive influence...

Not sure if I like the whole SP crew plotting against muddy.

BACK OFF.

Everyone needs to calm down. Who is Tron?

bump for mrx

you're welcome

Awesome...thank you. Yeah, don't remember that conversation but apparently yes, I made the comment. I don't see it as a big deal though...I am not sure why one would get defensive. This would hardly be a blip on my radar. I guess I assumed since every minute detail of this project was outlined in thread format, that lack of TMI was indicative of a gap in production. Apparently I was incorrect, but I hardly think that was a leap or worth of being called "projecting." Ridiculous. Thanks for enabling me to stop racking my brain Matty.

He got pissed off originally when he was going on about the food thread being worthless and I quoted him journaling some food. The "some people shouldn't post" theme was in a variety of threads..or maybe it was in different phases all in the RT thread. I would start in the 4/18 timeframe. I have these #s marked down from a brief perusal last night

Somewhere in this area was one of them. I don't think it was just Muddy. Muddy made reference to Bacon's attempt to ban me from his threads and that people should essentially take a hint. There were other threads and posts at the time that put it in better context. Anyway, I think it offended Bacon also as he may have taken it as a jab at him and/or Cami as well. There was discussion about PUBLIC FORUMS....I distinctly remember a post about some people just not having "it" and it's not their fault...but that he came to this forum for such and such reason (intellectual stimulation and the like) and the implication was that the SP crowd and/or Cami/Bacon..or whom ever the passive aggressive comments were directed, were bringing down the collective IQ of GL.

This was in the midst of the IAG/Bacon drama. And topics were overlapping in various threads I believe. In any case, all this goes back to why the sadcat thread was created...but again ...sadcat was sad because Pucky wanted to feed him drain cleaner..or maybe that is when I was looking at cats from the shelter..I don't know...but it was not a jab at mudcat.

Yeah yeah, I remember that. He was trying to get you to step up your game, not necessarily to stop posting.

Step up your game.

Houser's been doing well. The others are mostly absent, and interchangeable.
No...it was pretty clear that not stepping up, but stepping out was the desired outcome. Are you including me in that statement? I think I have stepped up thru toning it down. What I never understood back then was when you kept telling me that you guys didn't care about page views. What wasn't connecting for me was that SP (at least in latter years) was a closed forum. The only people looking at the threads were the SP regulars. Hence, the views corresponded to the interest level in a particular topic. That's why I didn't initially understand your argument. I didn't connect the dots at first, but I know now that I was waaaaaaaay too much in those early days. The intent was not to take over or be annoying. I was just doing what I knew, and trying to promote more discussions....but I get it now. ...most of the time.
