Why you wanna watch big tv with headphones?

my recent issue, they have eliminated headphone jacks and even rca output from tvs. Foken modern technology, 40 inch tv that weighs 5 pounds and costs $100 no problem. Simple jack that was available 50 years ago, fok off

I assumed there should be something like that, but kid at store wasn't aware of it.
How would I know if my tv was compatible with this?
Anyway, one would think this problem shouldn't exist.

You could also do Bluetooth (warning: modern technology) and use a pair of wireless headphones with something like this:

does the tv have to be compatible with bluetooth?

Got him some wireless headphones with rca jacks but then looks like tv only has rca input.

Their living room tv does have a jack anyway so I hooked em up there and the headphones are nice and they can probably be useful for him there too, but still needs something for the bedroom.


Matty if you mean an actual jack of any kind thats outgoing, there is nothing. Same with my tv, only rca in and hdmi (my 5 year old tv also flatscreen, did have headphone jack)

I find it weird that your TV doesn't have any audio out though. My Sony TV was really low-end/borderline obsolete when I bought it in 2010 and it has every port known to man.

I like this idea. So hdmi in on box goes into tv like from computer. And stereo out is just a reg headphone jack?

Sure its gonna cost another $50 with the chord, but thats the price we pay for progress

Actually, I don't need HDMI cables anymore thanks to Google Chromecast. Nifty little puck that lets you stream everything to your TV.

Seems I have forgotten how to park my car.

Well let me qualify that: I can park my car just fine into a small space surrounded by obstacles. I was recently complimented on the smooth and speedy way I back into my spot in the underground parking between an SUV and a big honking column and a wall at the back.

But no, gimme a wide open parking lot with endless spots ---> I am way the fuck too far one way or the other. Like I stay between the sidelines no problem but I sometimes make myself laugh out loud when I come out of the store or whatever and see my car dangling out of position with its face hanging out.
