Gainesville for those that aren't aware is a college town. It is home of the University of Florida. Newberry is a small town 15 miles west of Gainesville. It is home of Wal.

When I see a gay dude in Gainesville it seems natural. When I see a gay dude in Newberry it seems odd. Same gay dude, same guy observing but the location makes it different somehow. Kind of weird.

I had to question myself when I realized this lil quirk. I wasn't sure if I was so accepting with it in Gainesville and not Newberry because Newberry is home. I'm pretty sure that isn't the case but it does make you wonder. I would hope that I find it off to see a gay dude in Newberry because Newberry is a small country town and I somehow associate gay with larger more progressive areas.

I'm not sure though.

I hear you Wal, SC is a college town, very diverse. Nothing there surprise me, go an hour out to the sticks and you see anyone that's not white, and it's the biggest surprise of the year. Funny how that works. It's not even about our own opinions at that point, in some areas, it's just not something you see, and so when you do...well...it's different, in that place, at that time.

Matty, it's major bullshit. After an hour of attempting, I gave up. Tomorrow I will go to the liquor store, and I will buy a different kind, without a rubber fucking cork.

I bought a bottle of wine today and when I got home realized I don't have a proper corkscrew, I tried using a screw and pliers, only broke part of the cork off and couldn't open it.

I'll buy a legit corkscrew tomorrow and drink wine all day.
