Would be great if dental coverage was included in the provincial heath care plans but other than emergency surgery it is not.

I have looked into "dental tourism" companies here that will arrange for dental treatment in Mexican or Costa Rican resort towns. Basically you are getting dental work done while on vacation, and the price of the trip is what you would have paid to see a Canadian dentist. It's like getting a free vacation with your dental work.

It's funny you mention that. My wife and I were having a few drinks a few weeks ago and one neighbourhood mom showed up and joined us. We started to run low on booze so I offered to get on my bike and ride up the road to the liquor store. I had a pretty good jag on and figured I would be stopped by the cops if they saw me driving all over the place. I wondered if they could ticket me with a DUI or something strange.

Of all the dumb things I have done (and there's a lot when I was younger), I never once in my life drove a car under the influence. I will simply not drive a car with more than 1 beer or drink in me.
