Hooligans Sportsbook

Random thoughts

If you ask Tupac nicely he might get you one for Christmas.

I would be stupid to buy a Black and Decker laser chillifier anyway. If it's like most B & D stuff, it would break and have to be replaced 5 times during the lifetime of an alternate brand that only costs twice as much.

It's a mistake I make over and over. Short-sighted. I often comment on how stupid people are but sometimes I need to look at myself. Better to pay a little extra for a better product up front.

Black and Decker. Pfft.

Hopefully Tupac hasn't already bought it.

Now I'll say this (which I imagine will only resonate with Canadians):

I just heard Michael Landsberg as a guest on the radio. He was good. Almost want to say: excellent. Fresh, funny, quick.

When I get back to working and a regular commute, I would be happy to have him as a regular guest of whatever host(s) I end up stuck with.

So why is his TV show so completely unwatchable?

I have noticed that I haven't had any significant spider action on my balcony for quite a while. I tend to do a sweep every couple weeks - and there are usually a few interlopers - however the last few times, nothing.

Maybe word about me has gotten out.

I was going to say something about how they would be in for a rude awakening, but I'm not sure that is the right term. Generally speaking they are already awake. Or are they? Like sometimes they are actually moving - so yes, they are clearly awake - but sometimes they are just hanging there. Waiting I guess. Like spiders do. I don't know if they snooze or what when they are doing that.

Either way, what they get from me is not really a rude awakening.

Rude a-killening.

The power went out here last night. It cut out shortly after 6 pm and did not come back on until sometime in the middle of the night after I had gone to bed.

It was out over a fairly large area. I know because I drove around some during it. So weirdly dark.

After awhile I went over to Jenny's place because her power was out too so we just sat and talked like pioneers. She lives on the 12th floor. The elevator was not working of course.

She goes to bed early so I came home and tried to do puzzles by candlelight for a couple hours. I was able to do them to some extent but it was an uncomfortable process. You do not get as much light from a candle as you might wish. It's all about angles. You have to stand the puzzle book on it's end in order to see, and then it's hard to write that way . . . uncomfortable.

So that was my last evening.

The power being out ----> I don't care for it.

Fun flash floods downtown last evening. Power went out at the office around 6pm and I saw that the streets were flooding and the traffic lights were out, so I booked an Autoshare car nearby and sat in it for an hour before driving home.

Easy peasy.

Some idiots drowned their cars under overpasses.

I'm an excellent catastrophe avoider.

I listen to some AM radio. In the car. Avid would be a strong word. I would describe my attitude more like: better-than-silence-I-suppose.

I go back and forth between the 2 sports stations. They are sucky and annoying more often than not but all radio sucks.

I wonder why I don't listen to CD's more. I always have CD's in the car and I do listen sometimes but so often I just turn on some sucky radio.
