Daft, the $500/mo is for groceries only. This does include cat food/litter and certain other household goods (e.g. detergents, light bulbs, etc.). I would have to individually parse out what % of our "discretionary" budget goes to eating out but if you include drinking out its probably another 3-5 bills.

Mint.com for our budgeting. It's been very enlightening.

Just got back from the grocery store. There was a sale on the various pastas I use as sides such as Fettucini Alfredo that goes with pork tenderloin, or the penne pollo that goes with chicken breast.

Regular ~$2.50, on sale for an even dollar. I bought 9. Too bad I have such limited freezer space or I would have bought a billion.

This is where the system lets me down.

By Grabthar's hammer, wotta savings.

I try to stay within 2k a month for everything included total. I do eat a fair amount for free in casino however.

Muddy, 167 a month, thats way high, especially for a car you hardly drive. I'm slightly above $200 for 6 months. Of course I only have liability and am an excellent driver :rainman:

Damn. That I didn't know.

I get regular job postings to my inbox from the agency that got me my last job and one showed up yesterday and that was the pay. They usually have decent jobs so that one made me do a double-take. I was like, "Are you kidding me?" Didn't realize it was actual minimum wage though.

Of course I remember once upon a time having jobs that paid $2.15/hr and whatnot blah, blah, blah

Auto Insurance in Ontario is the highest in Canada, and probably the US as well.

Insuring my vehicle in Saskatchewan reduced my insurance from $2800 (in Ontario) a year to $980.

SGI doesn't penalize you for speeding tickets that do not include demerit points, unlike Ontario where every infraction triggers a rate increase.
