It is the yearly online contestant test. That is the only way to qualify now. No more in-person tests.

Yes, I have a pipe dream to get on the show.

Anyone can take the exam. It's at 8 pm EST (there are 2-3 other times for different time zones). If anyone wants a link to the information/tutorial/sign-up pages, let me know.

Give it to me! I wanna embarass myself. Only way I'd have a shot is if the perfect storm of categories showed up, stuff like Early 20th Century Eastern Euro Literature, Electric Guitars and Latent Homosexuality.

Well I just took the test. I'm not sure if I passed or not (and they don't tell you either).

You need 35 out of 50 to pass and I would guess I got right around 35. I knew a lot of them for sure, just a few I couldn't even come up with a guess for.

As I remember questions I (educated) guessed at and check the answers, I'll probably get a better sense of things.

Thank you RJ and whatever you prayed to.

Turns out I did pass. They have all the questions on the Jeopardy forum and I checked and I got 36, possibly 37 (not sure if I had completely typed out Thomas Aquinas when time ran out on me on that one - I don't think so).

But then I'm not sure if they will credit me with one answer where I said hockey but they might possibly insist on "ice hockey" since they are talking about the Olympics and there is also field hockey in the Olympics.

Anyway, I definitely passed. So now I just need to get called for an interview and dazzle them and get on the show. I suppose the odds of that are better than winning the lottery (but not by a ton.)
