Most old apartment building need to connect to a land line for buzzing. The one I'm in now doesn't there. There's a little telecom thingy that connects to your unit. Not that anybody ever comes over here or anything. But if someone did, hoo boy, they could buzz e and I could let them in.

I've been "broke", i.e. living paycheck-to-paycheck for the better part of the last 2 years. But no, I can't really complain when the checks comes through. S'just a long process to dig yerself out of that hole. Especially when you don't give much of a crap.
