Hooligans Sportsbook

Random thoughts

 I didn't snitch. I called him out. Everyone has invested 200 bucks in this league.

Guy is the leader and I'm second, one pick behind.

Starting to think that he has privileged access to everyone's picks before gametime.

Cheating fucking cunt.

Or, maybe someone with something to gain figured out how to hack his account and make it appear as though he was cheating and that someone then called him out on it. That someone later went on to not only win the office pool but garner the favor with the higher up who were made aware that they were being "cheated".

Someone's been watching Homeland!

Guy hasn't replied to my latest post in the thread. He's fokked. Only thing left to do now is either DQ him or call the whole thing a wash and split the pool money equally between everyone.

Low-life fucking cunt.

And another thing brain-related. I frequently sporcle and one topic that comes up from time to time is Oscar winning movies. When I am doing the list from 1970 to present, the one movie that I have missed more than any other is Titanic.

Don't know why. I just keep forgetting Titanic.

But now that I have typed this, I bet I don't forget it any more.

I caught the commissioner of our office pick 'em pool cheating. And I called him out on it with a thread that was emailed to every player.

Turns out that the commish of a CBS Sports Pick 'Em has superpowers - they can switch their picks mid-game. He's done it 3 times over the last 2 weeks.

Shit is gonna hit the fan boys. A couple of VP's are playing with us, including his own. I don't think he's gonna be fired or anything, but at the same time, what he did is plain fraud/theft.

People are dumb.

Need to use "paper" picks and something holds the one who runs the league! That's what we did years ago in work! I did stop playing after the guy had his wife and other relative join in and they won 2 weeks in a row! You probably can't do it but i just quit playing ...... someone I recall did call him out about it, I think!

Given that I probably won't do this in the immediate future, what does it say about my thing about remembering things better (at least short-term) if I say them out loud?

Muddy funny thing comes to mind with your post! When I went to church every Sunday a guy sitting in the back pew section of church would at some point near the end of mass just stand up and shout "hallelujah"! Beginning priests were caught off guard and people would turn around!

After awhile though nobody paid any mind to it and the ones who did must have been newcomers to that mass! Muddy, just don't do it in public and if you have too, talk softly!

Short video that discusses the need for repetition, but you'll probably forget what it says after watching it:

Interesting. The weird thing with me in the specific situation I was describing is, when there is some one-time thing I know I am going to want to remember in 20 seconds -and I say it out loud - when the time comes to remember it, I do something that can only be described as listening. That's what it literally feels like I am doing; it's like I am cocking my ears. It's like I listen to the recent past. And (if too much time hasn't passed) it's like the last thing I said out loud is still somehow echoing somewhere.

That is strange. I visualize the numbers.
