Random thoughts

I am always amazed when I am looking at maps or sporcling geography when I look at some areas of the world. Particularly parts of Africa or the Balkans. SE Asia too. So many small countries all packed together. I imagine if you were traveling around you would be changing countries all the time.

I am used to countries being huge gigantic things.

Yeah.

Here we have huge signs that greet you when you're about to enter a new province. Like congratulations, you've made it this far!

In Europe, they don't have huge signs, at smaller border crossings they don't even have signs at all. The road signs suddenly switch to the local language. Like what, you're telling me you can't read Czech? Tough luck dude. In 4 hours or so, we'll be switching to Polish. That's one fucked-up looking language dude, you won't believe your fucking eyes!

Our Asus I7 is BACK! Since I can be a complete moron about doing things besides work that involve actual responsibility, they technically received it 2 days after the One Year Warranty expired. Not only did they not say a word about that but we received it one week later not only with the internal problem fixed but they went ahead and replaced the Touch Pad too which I completely forgot had been flaky! DC Jack, Top Palm and Thermal Fan too!

Hats off for Asus here on going wayyyy above and beyond and of course :cami: for making this happen!

Just to tie up a few loose ends.

Area of Europe = 10.18 million sq. km.
Area of Canada = 9.985 million sq. km.

Europe just a hair too big to fit in Canada. (Well, 195,000 square kilometers. It's not a regular sized hair.)

Aussie is more than 3.5x the size of Greenland.

Aussie = 7.741 million
Greenland = 2.166 million
