Do girls not like Pink Floyd? I never gave it much thought until last night when I was watching a David Gilmour concert DVD and every audience shot showed a sea of dudes.

I have always been a huge Floyd fan. They were my absolute favorite band from the time I was ~15 until I got to the point where I stopped talking about favorite bands. But they are still right up there. The concert footage where they did Echoes was just fucking GREAT!

But I'm trying to think back on any girls I have known who shared my enthusiasm about Pink Floyd and I'm not remembering any. Maybe I always assumed they did but they actually didn't.

So fucking good.

I've always been in awe of the clean guitar tones that Gilmour would get. They always sound so BIG and ominous.

But I never find myself wanting to listen to them. :dunno:

Definitely a one of a kind band though.

I have just reached another milestone in my music project. I have burned a multi-track song I wrote and recorded to CD, then I played it on my stereo. Then I cranked it and played it again.

Holy shit it sounds good. I was boppin'. I was playing air guitar to myself.

I went into this project with a vision - but I must confess that in the back of my mind there was a basic attitude of gloom, that things couldn't possibly come together that well. Things would go wrong. Maybe the software wouldn't work that well or my lack of computer savvy or my so-so level of musicianship would drag things down like an anchor.

No. Every step is exceeding expectations. This is going to be incredible. I want to quit my job and just work on it.

Fokking pomped right now!

I don't know. I am really focusing on one step at a time and right now that is creating.

I have a fuzzy idea of mailing out complete CD's to anyone that wants one when I'm done. What I really want is for people to hear the whole project in its entirety.

I wouldn't mind posting this one sample just for a the hell of it though. Just this one time. It's not even a complete song - there will be at least one keyboard track added and probably some more vocals - and I will probably redo the electric guitar track - but whatever - I am digging it.

I don't know how to do it though other than just point my camera at the stereo while it's playing. There must be a better way than that. I have it in a .wav file if anyone has advice about how to make that happen.
