Yeah, no.

There was a time when I thought that way but I have worked hard to change. Where I would lose respect for myself now would be if I did not send a message because I let myself be governed by that kind of vanity/pride. If I didn't take a good swing and risk the strikeout for a chance at the home run, that's where I would feel crappy about myself.

Anyway, that characterization of what the message would be like is WAY off in my case.
