Other than hoping Jeopardy will call someday, I really should figure out something to do with it. But what the fuck can you do with this stuff? So I know where the Faroe Islands are and that they're part of Denmark but are semi-autonomous with their own government. So I know Clio was the ancient Greek muse of History and Terpsichore was the muse of dance. So I know that the movies Show Boat and Giant are based on novels by Edna Ferber. So I can name a lot of bones in the human body.

What do I do with that shit?

For a short time, I worked with a guy who looked so much like me it was spooky. It was impossible not to wonder if my dad had been sowing his wild oats around town years ago and this guy was actually my illegitimate half-brother. It was everything. He had not just the same basic physical attributes, but he had the same pattern of facial hair in the exact same colors. He had the same slightly awkward-looking walk.

It was extra weird because we worked fairly close together but we never talked. A couple times I tried to strike up some smalltalk with him but he wanted no part of it.
