Currently eating a chocolate bar which has pop rocks in it. That is interesting.

Yap. It's a Cadbury bar called Marvellous Creations and it is chocolate with jellies and smarties and honest-to-gawd pop rocks.

I ate a few pistachios.

I mentioned to someone at work I had never had one and she brought me some. I ate them.

I am no longer in the never-had-a-pistachio club.

They were alright. A bit labor intensive but they taste pretty good.

Red or tan?

Nothing red about them so I guess tan. Some greenishness in there.

Been a while since I've seen red pistacchios. They used to colour them to make them more appealing.

They were tasty enough but they were, as I say, labor-intensive. I don't have a lot of time and will for shucking my snacks.

Seemed expensive too. Chicky-poo had a not-particularly large bag and she mentioned it was 5 bucks.

Basically, if there is a bowl of them somewhere I was at, I might grab a handful.

Buy them? I don't see it.

You get that red shit on your hands and its like you just fingered Satan's wife. Tan for me.

Pistachios are awesome but are also high in phosphorus and very bad for people like bacon whom have destroyed their kidneys.

I don't think they color them any more. They over salt the shit out of em though. Are they supposed to be bad for kidneys? I thought nuts were supposed be good for you.
One thing that I notice difference in the way food is in America. Everything is either too sweet, too salty, too spiced or too saucy compared to what a Russian would be used to. it's like you guys hate the actual taste of food.

I bought a shaker of salt when I moved into this apartment. It is still sitting here - in a cupboard - a bit crusty around the edges - 90% full.

I've been here for ~17 years.
