Random thoughts

you should be able to play any chord anywhere without a capo, and there are ways to adjust if a certain chord is too difficult but I know it's not easy, and many famous people use them. Personally, I'm opposed to them on principle, but you know, I could be wrong :dunno:

I have a capo. Can't remember the last time I used it.

There are some chords that piss me off though. B minor. It would be a lot easier for me to put a capo on the 2nd fret and play an A minor.

If it was the only chord in the song I might do it too.

Nuther random thought: not enough songs that are just B minor.

Okay so in grade 6 a bunch of us did a musical presentation for a school assembly. It was a Gordon Lightfoot show.

So I was in the big group, then I was in a trio, then I had a solo.

The trio did Sundown - and I used a capo. Don't ask me the details why. Just know I used a capo up around the third fret.

After that, my solo was Carefree Highway. I was supposed to take off the capo but I forgot. So I ended up singing Carefree Highway about 3 keys higher than my voice is supposed to go.

Did a soprano Carefree Highway.

Must have been painful to witness, little kid shrieking away.

My dad has a couple of 12-strings, and I find that it's physically impossible to properly clamp all 12 strings at the 1st fret. Even spring-loaded capos can't do it. You need an adjustable vise-grip type of capo for those.

I like bm, will do em form on 7th fret or am on 2nd without barring usually.( use 1st finger on 1st and 2nd string only)
