Yes I have ranted about the ridiculously condescending distance door hold.

In fact I have basically described that cartoon in words in this forum; I just never managed to put it into that elegant pictorial presentation.

Kudos and whatnot to whomever.

I feel there is a severe drop off from the front line radio people to the replacements, but I do not feel the front line people for the most part are THAT good. Are they SO good that they make it look/sound easy?

Could be the case, or the replacements just fucking suck.

Actually the front line people on my morning drive are pretty atrocious. "Shrill," is best way I can think of describe them. The drive home has good people but morning crew? ---> I wouldn't have thought it was possible to make me miss them.

But these guys today pulled it off.

Unless they're French Canadian. They missed the memo on Canadian politeness.

 That French arrogance rears its ugly head again.

Ontario is a little extreme - in my condo building full of well-to-do younguns in their 20's and 30's, a decent % of guys will hold the door when I'm 10-20m away. Double that distance when I'm with wife and baby.

Shit's ghey. Unless I'm right behind you and can grab the door to immediately relieve you of your door-holding duties, let it go man. I've got four functioning limbs. I'll figure a way in.

People are needy to be seen as nice. See how nice I am? For the love of gawd, please recognize my niceness or I may die!

Nice work here Muddy. I love the ones who are so "nice" that they want to share their never ending stream of complaining about their pathetic lives with you, don't you? How friendly.

The sad part is they actually feel they are being friendly at the time. :sbrjohn:

We have a local who babbles such nonsense to Cami and now has decided Bacon is her friend too with no reason to believe so, and to follow the both of them around said establishment so they cannot focus on what they came in there, which is to shop. Bacon might have to be unfriendly.
