No just like an extended weekend for me. Lots of work on music. Hang out with Jenny. Watch a few movies and shows. Sleep in. Drink coffee with fancy shmancy creamers. Barbecue many fine things.

Music is the main thing. Looking for some serious progress.

I have decided this is going to be my permanent response to birthdays and milestones in posting numbers and whatever other kinds of random, fundamentally empty well-wishes people might come up with.



I don't want to think about it.

It's not that I'm not happy people were born or have posted here. That's all dandy.

But it is part of my nature to want to think of something a bit new and fresh every time - and it just kinda gets like ugh. It's a birthday. It's some random number of posts which happens to end with zeros. I've got nothing to say about it.

I have such complete disdain for anyone presenting a viewpoint about how things were better in the good old days than they are now.

So fundamentally lame.

I understand that there are some things now that are worse than they used to be. It is a coincidence. With all manner of things constantly improving, a certain number of things are bound to go downhill. Law of averages. It is not part of an over-riding, hell-in-a-handbasket trend.

I don't necessarily mind someone talking about a specific thing that is not as good as it used to be, but they must begin the presentation of their case with some acknowledgment of how retarded that sort of talk usually is.
