Yap.

She could probably scoop up 80% of the popular vote in the next election - without even campaigning - like she always does - but she is finally hanging it up after this term.

She has detractors like any politician but it's hard to argue she is a grassroots kinda Canadian gal.

I like to bring my Tim Hortons coffee to the washroom with me. Take a sip, read the news, Facebook-chat with MrX, take a shit. It's a comfortable way to waste 10 minutes.

I know it looks weird when I bring coffee into the washroom so I try to be subtle about it but there's no real way to be subtle about it.

I just deal with the stigma.

I was booed by hundreds of kids this morning.

I have to take this small side street to get to the back parking lot at work and there's this elementary school there. Anyway it was group photo day today and all the kids were on one side of the street and the photographer was perched on a ladder on the other side.

I braked to let the photographer take her shot but she motioned for me to go through so I did, which prompted mass booing from the little fuckers. I waved at them but I shoulda flipped them off. :biglaugh:

Did the little fuckers detect that you are a frenchie? Seems kind of harsh.

Well I sometimes rub my eyes - like in response to an itchy eyeball or else sometimes the whole eye just has a crusty feeling that seems to invite rubbing. I don't think it's just me. I've seen other people rub their eyes.

But I think maybe the skin kind of folds under there slightly - and it feels weird - like everything is just a bit too loosey-goosey with the eyeball alluva sudden.

And it feels like maybe the eyeball is just going to pop right out.

There is a moment of internal panic but I guess the skin, due to its natural elasticity, straightens itself out and that feeling goes away. At least it has every time so far.

Here's what I hope: that I maintain a perfect record of the eyeball staying in its socket. That is not something where I will be happy to just have a pretty good batting average and have it stay in there most of the time.

oh great, something else to look forward to.

She's been mayor of Mississauga longer than I've been alive.

Mississauga has certainly changed one whole helluva lot in her time. The population has gone from 280k to 750k+. I imagine that has as much to do with Toronto as anything going on in Mississauga but, you know, what the hell.

We got the Marilyn Monroe buildings under her watch.
