In all seriousness if I've been a little bit more of a prick than normal I apologize, it's been a little bit of a rough patch lately to say the least and anything I try to do to alleviate things just keeps backfiring, and I fall further into the mother fucking rabbit hole. Life is just a fucking piece of fucking shit on fucking motherfucking shit bitch sometimes. I blame it on Muddy, and you should too.

I think it is time to switch from being Bacon. It doesn't suit u these days. Where is Stevek173 anyway? I haven't seen him post in here in ages.

Maybe someone is telling him he has to write a book. That's probably it.

His daughter is an artist and they are collaborating. The book is about a grandfather and his guitar. Here's a quip from Time Mag.

The Rolling Stone guitarist has a deal to write a picture story called "Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar" that will be published this fall. The book will include illustrations by Richards' daughter Theodora

Does anyone actually congratulate people on Linked in like it asks you to? We get it, we connect professional connections. It seems to me you'd only congratulate someone you work with and that would be in the workplace, otherwise it'd be inappropriate.

Hey Johhny I haven't talked to you in 3 years but congratulations on your 9th year managing that place :uh:

LinkedIn has got to be the most useless social network of all. It's a glorified job board.

I mostly agree but I think it depends in large part on your industry. If you're in an industry where word of mouth is big and this person who works with that person sees that the other one is on your Linked in, maybe they talk about how things went on a situation. Maybe you get a referral as a result. Shit like that. I like it for that reason but as far as congratulating people on time on the job, etc. I think they have some bad ideas.

On the job board thing yeah, it's bad. Made the mistake of joining one in my industry and now I see 10 emails a day of unemployed people advertising their qualifications. I thought there were other sites specifically for that. A lot of them.
