I just heard a couple radio dudes gabbing about him and they were both pronouncing his name with some kind of accent. Further muddling things in my mind, it was not what I believe the correct french pronunciation of a name spelled that way would be, but they were doing something. Like they weren't saying soo-baw. It was more like soo-bah with a little nasally flourish at the end.

Gotta plead ignorance. I just pronounce it soo-ban.

I wonder if those guys know something or are they just trying too hard?
