Like I get how when you're showing conference standings or something, there might be team listed ahead of a team with more points because they are leading their division and therefore get a higher playoff seed due to the pre-arranged structure.

But that doesn't explain why Memphis is listed last in the NBA Southwest division.

That's called the Bacon Ranking Method.

So the Raptors are 22-6 - which is great - BUT - seems like every time I see them, they are up against the Knicks or the Pistons or someone awful. That's not totally true - they have beat some good teams too. They are 8-2 versus the west. And all you can do is play whoever is on the schedule. If they're stiffs, you still gotta win the game. Not everyone does. Not everyone is 22-6.

Anyway, the next six games will be a good test. Teams with a combined record of 110-57 (or something like that). Starting with a game IN Chicago tonight.

So let's just see about that, Pat.
