Something I notice when listening to game broadcasts on the radio - which is a semi-regular thing as I tend to be driving home between 8 and 9 - so games are often going on - all sports: the announcer will say - often - that such-and-such team is driving left-to-right or right-to-left. The announcer is obviously describing his perspective.

It's not something that just happened once; if it isn't always, it is damn near. And they will repeat it every half hour. Like I get a feeling that it is considered an imperative part of a gamecast by some.

Being told that something is happening from an announcer's left-to-right ---> it could not do less for me.

I've noticed this before, too.

Although, my conclusion was that I like to know. I don't know why, and I'm slightly disappointed with myself. But still, yes, I like to picture the game happening the same direction that they're seeing it.

I always thought the team who scores stays on that side of the field :dunno: Couldn't tell you for sure if that's just what we did as kids or if thats what actually happens in the nfl. Can you believe that? And I've watched like thousands of games, I know they change after quarters.

Also, just saw Mike Rozier on the Johny Carson show, barely remember that name after looking it up

The announcers tell you l-r or r-l based on your radio, not their perspective.

I honestly cannot believe that you don't know this.

Zagreb is a city in Yugoslavia. Now I'm gonna have to figure out which country. Must be the capital of Croatia or Slovenia.

So what's the answer Mr.X? about the football. I wanna say at some point (pretty recently) I noticed that they don't change after scores, but I'm not sure.
