I would love to buy a soccer uniform for $80 and plug Qatar Airlines.

I'm guessing American major sports are the exception in allowing jerseys to have sponsors all over them.

Meanwhile the Raptors win back-to-back road games - in Dallas and Oklahoma City - to go to 5-0.

Pretty noice.

I don't know how much of a Raptors fan I can be though. I have a generalized support for them but if my Blue Jays fandom is a 9 Raptors are a 3. Mainly lip service. A couple minutes viewing here and there. Raptors made the playoffs last year but I still barely watched.

Could develop though.

Until a few years ago FC Barcelona was the only club that didn't allowed shirt sponsors. Then Qatar came and offered them $190 million dollars for a 5 year deal.

Berlin this morning

Had to look it up. Berlin is actually significantly further north than Toronto. North of me.

It's snowing out my window right now btw. About the same amount as that pic I would say.

Stopped snowing here. Only lasted a minute.

Damn tho, wow. For people familiar with Ontario geography, Berlin is as north as the bottom of James Bay. Wayyyy up there.

I did not realize that.

No snow here. It came down as nearly-freezing rain. Roads are dry again now.

On Sunday Argentina presidential elections were held. Argentina is soccer crazy, 11 of the 20 teams in the first division are from the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. There are 5 teams considered the "big ones". But the club with biggest fan base is Boca Juniors, the Boca neighborhood being one of the biggest in the capital. Mauricio Macri used to be the club president of Boca Juniors and used the popularity of the team to launch his gubernatorial bid, and after, his presidential one. He won the election on Sunday. The Kirchner era is over.
