They're probably looking at different bureaus, you have Transunion, Experian and Equifax. Your TRUE score is your middle score. 810 and 830 are basically the same.

You are entitle to a free yearly credit report from each credit bureau. If you want to know your true score, that is the best way to find out, short of paying for it.

Just seems like there should be an industry standard here. Seems like companies can take a persons score of 700, 710, and 720 but give them a loan based on the 700 (and a higher rate). I look at credit karma and there are all different credit scores for different things.

Loans are based on the MID credit score. It's that simple. If you have a problem with the rate someone is offering you, go somewhere else. There are companies out there that will try to take you, hence why one should educate themselves before trying to take a loan, or credit card, etc. Not all "free credit score" places even give you an accurate credit score, it's best to obtain your report from the bureaus themselves. Plain and simple.

It should be free to obtain at any time IMO for that info. I guess I fail to see why there are different scores in the 1st place.
