Actually, the thread you were referring to is painting George as a sociopath -- not in his defense but rather as a reason to believe he needs to be locked away. My argument there was that we cannot box all scammers together and say "they are bad people and deserve to be in prison". I feel that each "scammer" needs to be individually assessed.

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. I must admit I just re-read that part of the thread while keeping my other eye on two baseball games so I may have missed something there.

I think assassin watches too many Marvel Comic movies. Your not Peter Parker. Pappa will never change his ways. Just bust him and make sure the victims get compensated.

Sorry, do not watch any comic movies... Well, I did see Iron Man 2. I my experience there are a decent percentage of "scammers" who will change their ways. However, Pappas will probably end up behind bars. Easy money is an addiction. Pulling a con is a different type of "gambling". When he is successful he gets the same rush as when a slots player gets the big payout. Since he has been successful thus far, his addiction to the con game has been fed. Once he is behind bars and hits bottom he may (or may not) take steps away from the con game. Right now he is a con-addict. Easy money, easy money.

I agree that it seems George has had more than enough time to make good on everything and has no intention of doing so. Maybe it's just time to pull the pin and take him down.

Well, when to take him down is not up to me. However, there really is no hurry as the longer he continues the easier the case against him becomes and the more crimes he admits to committing.

Ok, now here is kind of where I don't get it. You want to right the wrongs but you aren't willing to prevent them by taking the evidence you supposedly have to the authorities. It seems contidictory to me. I mean if you are a minister or something and bound by God to not reveal the sinner or something just correct his devilish ways then ok.

Actually, there is already a case against Mr. Pappas with IC3. But releasing the information to the public as I do it DOES prevent others from being scammed. There is no doubt that it is harder for George to sell a site now than it was before I got involved.

Yeah but at what point does the amount of time and energy required to unravel all of his scams and attempt to prevent new ones from occurring start to surpass any punishment he may receive? I'd be more worried that he finds a way to sucker in someone else and the more people he actually scams, I would think that the chances of everyone recovering their money diminishes somewhat.

Then again, I have no clue about any of this stuff so I could be merely hypothesizing out of my ass. :lmao:
