What a fabulous looking room. I just watched Rocks opening(?) due to the supposed controversy. I'm mostly a fan of Chris Rock.
But making a joke about black grandmothers swinging from a tree, especially for a room of privileged, empty, white people is cringe worthy at best.
I pity these people, the audience I mean. They look sad to me. Overly made up faces, gathered in an overly extravagant looking room, to pat themselves on the back for accomplishing I'm not sure they know what
You pity them? You figure they all want to trade places with you and me?
Do you believe yourself when you're typing that?
: yes, I'm sure there were. That makes it even a worse joke in a wayThere were no privileged blacks there? Ok.

Everyone's a sad dwarf-clown inside.
Every person there was privileged, so why call out the white people only?
What black movie got slighted? I rarely watch movies. To nominate a token black movie to keep them happy solves nothing, correct?
