You're the worst went puppydogs and ice cream for the finale, that's ok. Still good stuff, started out stronger though. Blacklist is our current filler show. Looking forward to Ray Donovan finale - someone's gettin WHACKED, and I think it's Cookie.

Short Term 12 is a good movie, 7.5/12 baconbits. The Prince seemed shitty, fell asleep.

According to my listings, we got new episodes of Family Guy and The Simpsons tonight. The blurb on the Simpsons says someone in Springfield is going to die. Again.

It doesn't say again. That is my again.

I watched Oculus last night.

I like it. That was one of the more solid horror movies I've seen in awhile. Good premise, excellent sense of confusion, solid scares, and a truly disturbing thing with a light bulb.

That was really something actually. That re-imagined BSG. I enjoyed that while it was going on.

I wonder how it would stand up to a reviewing.

Not meaning to change the topic. Oculus. Decent tomatometer reading of 74%. imdb rating is 6.5 which is middle of the road.

Looks like sequels are anticipated.

I enjoyed the blending of the two timelines, that was well done.

That guy was the pothead in Dazed and Confused. Recognized him instantly.

I accept that review. I've seen a lot of shitty horror movies in recent times.

I get that I may be overly impressed by one that doesn't overtly suck.

I don't know though. Somehow I feel like Battlestar Galactica would not work as well the second time through.

Not sure why. I watched the prequel, Caprica. It wasn't entirely without merit but something didn't click.

Which probably has nothing to do with BSG.

I imagine I'll check it again someday.

Not exactly a major character. If I had've been asked beforehand, I would have guessed he was already dead. I have some vague memory of something - but I guess not that.




The 1-hour Family Guy episode was a bit more interesting. It was a crossover where the Griffins go to Springfield and meet The Simpsons and everyone else. It was okay. Probably above average comedically for a Simpsons episode for the last many seasons. A tad sub-average for Family Guy I would say. Novelty value though - like a shiny penny.

I liked the crossover episode until that fight scene. I didn't think it added much to the story at all.

I'm going to give The Good Wife a chance. I'm not optimistic but a lot of people are high on it and it does have that Sunday night status so......here we go.

The Knick has been exhibiting a strange pattern. The episodes keep getting shorter. It started out pretty much filling its hour timeslot ---> fast forward to last week: 40 minutes and not a penny more.
