You're the Worst is pretty good, I think Cami loves it and I like it. A little bit of a chick flick but enough relentless cynicism to keep BB on board. Result - good couples viewing.

Lilyhammer off to a good start as well though we're going to shoot for a version with english subtitles instead of spanish on top of German. Something tells me understanding the other 40% of the show might help.

Not that I give a crap about the Emmy's but I hear that Orange is the New Black is nominated for best comedy series against Modern Family, Veep and I guess a couple others.

Comedy?

And True Detective is nominated as a regular drama series against Mad Men and whatnot. Not a mini-series.

Fargo is a mini-series though.

Some of the worst parts for me happen when it is trying to be funny.

But I just watched an episode with this line of discussion in mind, and maybe it actually is a comedy. Like it is openly, overtly trying for conventional comedy quite a bit. More than I thought.

And a lot of the time I'm like STOP!

I mean there are some laughs that work but mainly I just want them to get to the plots. But it's there. Took me by surprise. I hadn't stopped to consider until now - but maybe it is a comedy more than anything.

:dunno:

Rewatching Deadwood. I only watched it once before and it was a number of years ago so a lot of it feels like watching it for the first time. It is the purest form of the all-important second viewing.

And so can you believe how much I am in heaven?

It is on my Mount Rushmore of TV shows.

My Mount Rushmore of TV shows would have these, in no particular order:

The Wire, The Sopranos, Deadwood, South Park

Can you have have something totally absurd on Mount Rushmore? Referring to South Park of course.

I have decided yes.

What is on your Mount Rushmore of TV shows?
