I haven't watched The Night Of yet, but I did watch You Me Her.

It brings up the question: how much mileage can a show get from one EXTREMELY adorable girl.

The writing was not getting 'er done and I was planning my exit 10 minutes in - but then this girl shows up. I finished the episode and will probably check out the next one.

She's not even a particularly good actress. Just adorable and sexy as hell. As I became more invested, I started thinking maybe I was liking some other elements of the show more. Maybe the other two characters were a bit intriguing after all.

But maybe not. Maybe it is all just that girl.

Started watching The Night Of. I noticed James Gandolfini is listed as an Executive Producer.

First I did a double-take, then I rewound to make sure I saw that right, then I scratched my head, then I checked to make sure it was that James Gandolfini (it is), then I looked up when he died.

June 2013.
 
The Night Of, ep. 1 ---> I thought it was pretty good. Not entirely problem free but easily good enough to continue with the next episode and probably just put the full 8 episodes on the roster in pen.

If you're not pulling for Pakistani Gael Garcia Bernal, you have no soul.
