I just binge-watched Fargo S2 and yes indeed, that scene struck me as particularly unrealistic.

I'll take a bullet (or twelve) to the head before getting buried alive, kthx.
 
We had an Amber Alert last night which manifested on my TV. I can't remember that ever happening before.

A red strip appeared across the top - and then there was a rather clumsy scroll of information about the missing child and the alleged abductor.

There was a siren that kept going on and off. That was annoying. Had to keep pausing what I was watching then rewinding a bit and restarting. Not that Amber alerts aren't important but it kept going on long after the message had been delivered.

There was information like the boy's age which they said was 8-11.

But today I hear he had been reported missing by his parents. They don't know his exact age?

I don't know.

Turns out the kid had just run away and was found right away. Nothing going on.



Great example of how to make people pay less attention to Amber Alerts going forward.
 
Woman in Gold (2015) - Rare case of me liking something a lot more than the hordes. I thought it was great and rate it 8.4 out of 10.

It is actually a rotten tomato on RT with a 53% critics rating (although the audience score is much higher: 80%)

Well dammit, I thought it was very fascinating and thoughtful. The situation is compelling: there is a piece of art hanging in a Vienna museum - it is a famous and valuable Klimt - considered a national treasure - it would not be an exaggeration to call it the Austrian Mona Lisa - but to one aging woman it is the portrait of her aunt whom she loved that used to hang in her home - until it was stolen by the Nazis - as was everything her family owned - as entire lives were stolen.

So the movie is about that. There is the history of how it was stolen, and the procedural of trying to gain restitution, and to no small extent, the complicity of Austrians in the actions of the Nazis during WWII.

Loved it. 8.4

There are torrents available, Blitty. Don't bother though. Boring as fuck after the first episode. I stopped watching after the third episode since I fell asleep trying to get through it multiple times. The third ep is just him and a girl talking at a table the entire show.

One of them switched to female some years ago and now the other is doing the same.

The Wachowski brothers are best known for the Matrix films. Plus they have done some other stuff.
