Liked Fear The Walking Dead premier a lot.

Do we have a mindless sheep smiley?

was it better than the walking dead? i might give it a go, if so

you really enjoy watching the same stuff over and over and over again on the walking dead? i got it for a season or so, but it just got old... i guess ya like what ya like... i quit watching the STrain for the same reasons

but they did an great job of premiering on a day and time when there was only 1 actual drama show to compete with and a handful of shitty reality shows...

Sometimes I imagine what it's going to be like after I die - and I'll be sitting there thinking lookit me, all dead and whatnot - and I will give some thought to the things that I really enjoyed in my lifetime.

Things that were reliably on the plus side of the ledger all the way through.

One of those will definitely be the movies of the Coen Brothers.

I rewatched Intolerable Cruelty which, I feel it's safe to say, is considered one of the Coens' weaker efforts.

I agree with that consensus - but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Many LOL's for me. Weakest of a great bunch can still be very good.

7.4 out of 10.

I need to see The Ladykillers again. I have only seen it once. I thought it was one of their weaker ones at the time but the second viewing is all important.

I have also only seen Inside Llewyn Davis once.

Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) - Some folk singer guy with a temper likes to blow his chances at the big time. More depressing than I thought, but quite gripping. Lead actor looked like he was actually performing the songs, both guitar and voice. Enjoyable but a slightly sub-par Coen Bros flick IMO.

7.4 Matty Rains out of a possible 10

Disagree with Matty here. This was a 6, 6.1 at best.

:stevie:

Forgot that the lead actor was actually playing the songs. That's probably what kept my attention.

I've got Llewyn Davis rated 6 at imdb.

In checking that, I saw a picture of Carey Mulligan. I forgot she was in it. She is actually the main female and I forgot about her.

So I am going along with the snoozy/unmemorable theme at this point.

But I can't stress it enough: second viewing ---> it's a thing.

Currently giving Lost in Translation a second viewing.

I know there are many people who, in a discussion of the hottest woman on the planet, will put Scarlett Johansson in the discussion, possibly even in first place.

I rate her a 6.9 but no matter. As the one person who understands and is comfortable with the concept of subjectivity I am saying, fine.

Just thinking though: it must have been very exciting for them when she did that full frontal nudity movie. Lucy? I think? The hottest woman in the world is suddenly nekkid for the first time?

That's gotta be a thing.

Not sure who I would like to see nekkid more than anyone else right now.
