Watched S1 E1 of Happyish

One of MrsM's regular watch shows! Advertising is such a crazy business! Other I guess than results I never understood the how a great ad man differs from a not so great one? Playing mind games with us I tell you! Commercials do nothing to make me impulsively buy something! Food commercials do excite me at times!

There is a movie coming out set in Hawaii called Aloha. It stars Bradley Cooper, Rachel Mcadams and Emma Stone fwiw.

Some native Hawaiians are upset because they don't feel the movie is likely to capture the full subtlety of the word, Aloha.

That's how determined people are to be offended. They haven't seen the movie and they have a pole up their asses because of the potential of some of the most fussy, anal, language policing minutiae of all time.



People suck.

The show is in a 2 episode rut.

New episode was an improvement on the disaster that proceeded it so there is hope.

I have liked the last 2 episodes a lot. I lay in bed for probably 20 minutes before I got up this morning rolling them around in my mind.

I love a show that can do that, stick with me through the week.

Shows like that are rare for me. Other than some of the Homicide reruns I have been revisiting, Louie might be the only one I've got these days.

Did not realize Aloha was a Cameron Crowe movie. Cameron Crowe has done some stuff I really like.

Aloha seems to be getting a pretty bad reception though.


San Andreas also out this weekend. Disaster porn with The Rock.

Not looking like something I will ever see on purpose.
