It was interesting how they had a different actor play a younger adult Oliver Platt. You often see that when the age difference is 17 versus 74 or something like that. Not so much in that situation when they could practically be brothers, like, RIGHT NOW.

They could have just stuck a mustache on Oliver or something, but I guess they were going for a big impact with the reveal of who the younger mysterious fella became. I guess it was supposed to be like WHAM!

Like OH!

I guess.

I find his acting really off-putting. I guess he's going for oddly menacing but to me he comes across as a goofball, like a mean version of Forrest Gump.

Fargo is doing it for me, but agree not an all-time show

Midway through Game of Thrones season 2 and can say that I'm hooked

Season 2 of Game of Thrones that I downloaded comes with subtitles. I generally turn them off but they are always there when I start a new episode and I look at them for a minute and it is interesting. It is surprising how many character/place names I was envisioning all wrong.

Here's what I am looking forward to in a big way: the next rounds of the Jeopardy Tournament of the Decades. The preliminary stuff was all kind of awkward but now they have it narrowed down to the final 15 and a 2 week tournament, there are some match-ups I am dying to see.

Brad Rutter, greatest player of all time is in.

Ken Jennings, 2nd best, won his preliminary match easily and is in.

Jeopardy ninja Roger Craig is in there.

Any match involving any combination of them is like the Super Bowl to me. If that can be the final, so much the better.

Getting my wish so far, coming down to the final week. All 3 won their quarter finals and so are in the final 9, which is three semi-finals going Mon, Tue, Wed. Each is in a separate game so it is possible they could end up as the final 3 for the 2-game total point final Thu & Fri.

I'm in Jeopardy heaven.

That's a great idea. It is difficult to keep it all straight. Especially as the names are rather complicated and many sound so similar. Interested to hear what they did when it came to the last episode of season 2. (Non-spoiler) When you get to the part with the iron gate and slaves let me know how they did the language, as it seems like an entirely fictional language from what I can tell.
 
Yeah I just watched the last half of an episode that got interrupted yesterday. I left the sub-titles on for a change. Kinda liked it. There is something to be said for knowing people's/place's actual names. Might just leave them on all the time now.

I guess I must have a bunch of wangs coming up in my Game of Thrones future. A big part of the comic angle that South Park took in their GoT parody was the frequency of the displaying of koks. After seeing South Park, I was expecting to see like 3 John Thomas's in every episode, but I'm not sure I've seen more than 1 or 2 in over a season and a half.

Must be a big bombardment of plonkers on the horizon.
 
Looks like The Cleveland Show has been cancelled and Cleveland is back on Family Guy. I had no interest in The Cleveland Show - and they made a little self-referential joke about how not a single viewer stopped watching FG because Cleveland left - which is probably true - but I had a moment of excitement to learn he was back on FG, which I still love.

It was a very low-key, controlled excitement but dammit, it was there.
 
Enemy - Strong performance from Jake Gyllenhaal playing himself vs himself. Bizarre plot twists but more in a silly way imo than that much of a suspenseful way. Delivers more confusion than suspense and looks to me to be overrated on rotten tometeors. 6.4 Camicakes.
