Meanwhile, new episode of Fargo tonight!!!! It is a rare show which I absolutely have to watch while it's on. No record-and-watch-later for Fargo for me.

At least that is my impressions after 1 episode.

They threw me off by not having it on the regular FX channel. Almost gave me a conniption fit.

But I found it. We a'ight.

Are they supposed to be totally unrelated episodes? I guess they can't be completely. They would have to revolve around the same cops at least. Probably the same case?

I'm thinking they would be completely related.

I strongly suspect that the cop who gets queasy at the sight of blood (Bob Odenkirk) will be named the new chief (even though the old chief told the girl it should be her) but anyway, the investigations will begin into all the mayhem we just saw. And off to the races we go.

Just watched the first episode of Fargo, and thanks to this thread, I discovered that I also have access to FXX.

Good shit by Billy Bob and the guy from HHGTTG.

oh boy, I didn't think of this. I kinda assumed guy got away with murder. Now they're gonna ask questions. If they're gonna have a bunch of episodes it can't be good for him.

Also I watched Fargo the day after I stayed at a motel8 in Grand Junction. I had almost exact conversation with the hotel attendant the killer had

I can't tell you hard I laughed when Lester Nygaard knocked himself unconscious in his basement in episode 1. I had to pause the show and just let it all out.

Sometimes, as has been touched on around the forum in recent times, a highbrow brand of humor is needed to really make it happen for me.

But then sometimes just run headfirst into a wall.

That was good. And I never really saw that coming. Unpredictability rates high on my list of preferred show characteristics.

I think what really made that scene for me was how his act was immediately preceded by his contemplation of the wall poster with the fish. The way that poster seemed to help him to that conclusion was so random and Coen-esque.

Fargo was great! Didn't even know it existed, we loved it. Man network TV has really picked it up.

BTW the hammer scene in Fargo S01E01 was chilling. I thought it was done marvelously well, in a really disturbing way.

First episode felt like Breaking Bad, accelerated 500 times.
