That's a decent flick.

Well wouldn't you know it Muddy and Matty were both right about Mad Men. It DOES pick up after the first few and it IS meant to be binge watched. Been hammering them out. Those two fucksticks both being right about anything is what is throwing me off.

New Californication. :brooks:

Thoroughly enjoyed Fargo. I am not without criticism - I never am - but overall ---> great.

It is written in pen on my roster for the duration of the 10 episode run.

Ultimately, I think they made a wise decision downplaying the accents/funny-talk. The radio commercials I heard focused on that to an extreme, but when you get into the actual episode it settles into a more realistic regional pattern. In fact, both lines of dialogue I remember from the radio commercial must have been doctored for effect because they were different in the episode. Not just the accent but the words.

Those radio people must have been getting up to shenanigans.

The speech is still a bit humorous anyway but it's not a major distraction.

The resemblance of Martin Freeman to Jerry Lundegard (William H. Macy) from the movie is pretty remarkable. I guess it's just coincidence because the characters aren't connected in any way. But still.

Meanwhile there was a lawsuit filed this week charging Bryan Singer with raping a teenage boy some years ago.

That situation is also going to be part of an upcoming documentary about sex abuse in Hollywood. That doc is from the woman who made Deliver Us From Evil which was a very good - although infuriating - expose on sex abuse in the Catholic church.

Although I recognized the name Bryan Singer, I had to refresh my memory about what he has done. He directed The Usual Suspects and some of the X-Men movies and he produced a ton of shit.

Oscar-nominated director Amy Berg has spent the last two years working on a scandalous new documentary about sex abuse in Hollywood that includes allegations about Bryan Singer, Variety has confirmed.

Michael Egan, who filed a lawsuit this week alleging Singer raped him as a teenager, has been cooperating with Berg on her documentary.

I guess life is getting interesting for him right about now.
