I saw a taping of Letterman ~15 years ago. The guests were Teri Hatcher, Brent Spiner and some girl-band. Can't remember the name. I believe it had the word Fox in the title (although I could be getting my wires crossed with Uma Thurman's Pulp Fiction character's TV pilot).

I have always liked Lettermen. I remember before I had even moved out of my parent's house - so we're talking awhile back - I used to get stoned in the backyard and come in and watch Lettermen every night. Never stopped liking him although I have had much less latenight time for him as I have gotten older.

But whenever I have checked in ---> still good.

Same on Letterman. Solid. Like Furgeson and Conan better but good imo. They all crush Leno quickly.

I had the option to go to early show or late show. I went to late.

IF I had gone to the early one I would have seen Johnny Depp and Lettermen retire in person.

Here's what I am looking forward to in a big way: the next rounds of the Jeopardy Tournament of the Decades. The preliminary stuff was all kind of awkward but now they have it narrowed down to the final 15 and a 2 week tournament, there are some match-ups I am dying to see.

Brad Rutter, greatest player of all time is in.

Ken Jennings, 2nd best, won his preliminary match easily and is in.

Jeopardy ninja Roger Craig is in there.

Any match involving any combination of them is like the Super Bowl to me. If that can be the final, so much the better.

But hell, it is good players across the board. I just wish Larissa Kelly could have won her match. Chick knows everything and she's got some major bolls. Unfortunately, while she led going into Final Jeopardy in her qualifier, she got caught on a tough one.

Anyhoo, good shit starting Monday.
