No but seriously man, here is my complaint.

When I go to imdb for some kind of reference info regarding an actor in a TV show - which is not an uncommon circumstance. I see someone and wonder where else I have seen them ---> imdb.

But when I find them for whatever show I started with - the show I am watching RIGHT NOW - it tells you how many episodes of that show that person is in. It's right there, front and center, along with a range of years.

Depending on who it is, that can be very spoiling information. Like if I am watching the first season of a show that has been on for 5 seasons (or whatever), when I go to imdb, I will see all the main characters and they will show the same number of episodes. i.e. all of them.

But what the fuck? There's dudeguy and he seems like a main character where I am, but he is in 25 less episodes than everyone.

So right away, I know something major is going to happen that will wipe him off the face of the earth. I don't want to know that. That's called a spoiler.

I know I'm not the only one that doesn't like spoilers. Put that episode information somewhere else imdb. Make it so you need one click to see it or something. Jesus Murphy.

That is all.

Yeah, noticed that too. Safer to just Google the actor or character's name and then cross-reference without going on IMDB.

Like this guy on True Detective, I suspected that he was Freamon in The Wire. Google "Freamon The Wire True Detective" and gloss over the Google results.

I'm not sure if that would give me what I want. My curiosity is usually more general and imdb is otherwise perfect. I dunno.

I try not to look at the number, but even if I am successful, I am always aware that the listing starts with the actor(s) with the most episodes and goes in decreasing order. Even that can give away important info without the actual numbers. And I can't really criticize imdb for doing things that way. It makes sense.

Just by having a little too much awareness in life, I get spoilers. I bet a lot of people just have no idea about any of that and never put 2 and 2 together.

I have always known there are advantages to being clueless and this is just another example.

Started into season 2 of Sons of Anarchy after a break of 2-3 years since I watched season 1. It is how I remember it. Pretty good but too soap opera-ish to be a really top show for me. Plot, plot, plot. Dialogue that often sounds too much like dialogue rather than humans speaking. Kinda humorless.

At least the plots are reasonably interesting.

This chick, I can't figure out at all.

How do you get a job as a primary character in a series when you just can't act at all? I guess you could be hot as hell but she's not really. She's okay I guess. I mean, she's not what I would call a star of the show, just part of the main ensemble. Can't act even a little bit.

:dunno:

But it's decent late-night, winding-down, turn-the-brain-off entertainment.

The actress, Maggie Siff, had a multi-episode arc in the early seasons of Mad Men. Her lack of acting chops didn't really strike me then.

Must be something about Mad Men that camouflages bad acting. Similar to how it took a while for me to truly appreciate how awful January Jones is.

I was talking to a SOA fan who is a co-worker of mine and she whole-heartedly agrees about the weakness of the situation with this actress/character.

That co-worker is right up to date and informs me that I have a very bad haircut to look forward to with her.

Yes, Rachel Mencken. Which I learned from an imdb search. Which led me to my thoughts about the spoilers you can get through that sort of thing. Not that there was necessarily anything to be learned from her specific numbers and date ranges. I'm not saying that.

Just saying.

And here we are.

Gotta say this though: Katey Sagal looks amazing for 60. I'm not saying she is my #1 choice in the world of who I would like to see model underwear. Not saying that. But for 60? Not freaking bad at all.
