Getting a bit restless with Boardwalk Empire. I was enjoying the sublime approach for the first several episodes of the season, but I find it is getting to the point where it needs to decide on a focus and direction - and it's not. Very scattered. I don't see how they can possibly tie everything together. Are they just going to abandon some plotlines in midstream or leave them hanging? I guess probably not. The writers have earned some faith.

We'll see what happens but they are all over the place right now.
 
this season of boardwalk fucking blows so far( at least blows compared to the other seasons..:yawn: )... downton abbey is splendid,as usual... parenthood is just a really good show( cali, you should look up a show called The Time of our Lives) its the best australian show going these days... season 1 was great...very similar to parenthood...american horror story isnt disappointing so far this season either :donthinkso:

im anxiously anticipating a new season of Rake...

It's very good. I have it rated 8 which is rarified air.

However this is what I had to say a few months back.

I rewatched American Beauty and it was not as good as I remember. I thought it was one of my all-time favorite movies but not really.

I'm leaving my imdb rating at 8 but I think it's gone from like 8.4 down to 7.8

Muddy that does look unreal. Cali they are really delivering this year, each one is like a movie. A little soapy at times but they pick it up with more graphic violence. I kind of miss the insane investigator guy I found him to be a solid character, you never knew what he'd be up to next.
 
Finished my rewatch of Six feet Under, all 5 seasons. Very good show. My only complaint is it is a little too angsty. I mean, death is death and that's going to suck but in terms of the relationships, I feel like they could have been a little less aggressive with the turmoil, maybe allowed a bit more peace and harmony at times for balance.

But overall a great accomplishment of a series. In the top handful of all time in my estimation.
 
DREAM HOUSE I must have seen this a half dozen times in the past year, and it never gets old for me. love this movie. It's a wonderful psychological suspense movie. It really does a good job of showing how the mind can play tricks on you. Good acting in my opinion, especially by the main character. Don't let yourself get bored by the beginning, it's one of those ones that starts off a little slow, and get increasingly better. I give this movie 8.5 out of 10 every time.
