watched fast and the furious 6 saturday morning... awful acting from the rock...gina carano did well and looked hot as fuck and the others played their normal roles well... but the ridiculously fake bullshit killed it for me... it was as unbelievable as one of the Die Hard movies... people jumping out of speeding cars and flying through the air ... explosions and shoot outs in the middle of cities... it was all just too much whoreshit.. fast paced awful entertainment i call it... 6 matty rains

Does anyone have anything to say about the show Boss. I was having coffee with a buddy and it is one of his all-time favorite shows and he said, "I absolutely guarantee you will love it."

However I don't trust his taste as much as he thinks I do.

im a hugh fan of Boss... when you think of kelsey grammer, you think of comedy, but the guy plays a spectacular drama role ... very serious, hard core political stuff....

me and archie may have talked about the show in the early pages of this thread

So you thought the first 5 were Oscar caliber, and this one was the first over the top one that blew it for you..? :bee:

I was going to make a post along the lines of, so what ever happened to Michael Keaton? But then I figured, well why not take a quick look first?

I have not heard his name for a long while but judging from imdb, he has continued to work steadily. He obviously isn't getting the profile stuff he once did - he was one of the top names in the 80's and 90's - but he is still doing stuff. I just don't happen to be crossing paths with it.

I was wondering because I saw Multiplicity recently and I was struck by how really good he was. The movie itself is just okay and kind of collapses under its own absurdity, but there is no denying Michael Keaton's talent. He was really good in some drama too like Clean and Sober.

So yeah.

A piece of Michael Keaton trivia: he played the same character in two basically unrelated movies. He played FBI agent Ray Nicolette in Jackie Brown and then he showed up with an uncredited appearance as the same dude in Out of Sight.

Since they are both based on Elmore Leonard source material, it is maybe not wildly amazing that a character would reappear, but to have the same actor play him in movies from two different directors and studios ----> well don't that just beat all?

dont remember the first 5 having all the special effect garbage that you find with a die hard type of action flick, but then again they might and i just didnt pay that much attention to them  ... they are time killers

Just watched the latest Mad Men. What the fok was that "energy serum"?

Several LOL-worthy moments.

I really don't care about Don's flashbacks though - we know he's a fucked-up kid, it's not especially interesting anymore. I don't need to know every little detail of his psychosexual development.

You gots dozens of great characters to play with, let it go already.
