There is a documentary that keeps coming up in my listings called The Captains. The concept is, William Shatner interviews the other Captains from all the Star Trek shows and movies.

I thought it might be alright. I basically like the whole Star Trek ethos and have seen all the movies and most of the assorted TV episodes. I have thoughts and opinions about it all. Plus Shatner can be a hoot. I thought The Captains might be an amusing diversion.

No not really.

Watched Shadow Of The Vampire (2000) last night for the first time since its release.

Malkovitch is outstanding (I love his dialogue directed at Max during the action scenes).

Willem Dafoe has a difficult role it seems. I can't tell if he nails it or not (I lean YES).

The opening credits are painfully long, though.

strike rating matty? :clueless:

Is it a strike when he who is being stricken is not struck?

That wasn't a strike. Plomberg is one sincere fok.

I understand why Rouge may believe it was a calm strike, but it wasn't.

My online persona is a mish mash of calm striking, sincerity, and obvious bullshit.

I leave it to the reader to figure out. Most of you guys "get" me, I give you credit for that.

PS: I am not a communist, I just portray one online.

I'm just another unAmerican commenting on a country I don't even live in.

How Green Was My Valley (1941) - In my ongoing quest to see all the Best Picture Oscar winners, I finally checked this one off my list. This is the one that beat Citizen Kane, which is a source of much second-guessing.

Very good movie. The subject matter and themes are great. It's got some scope and grittiness. The execution is very typical of the time with many moments of unintentional humor due to bad acting and awkward presentation choices.

Balancing all that and making allowances, I come up with a rating of 7.6 out of 10.
